English for Life (EFL) has been runnning at FAC since 2006 for those in the local community who want to improve their English. The majority who come along to FAC are the spouse of a person undertaking study at the University of Wollongong with a small number, permanent residents of the region.

EFL consists of a network of classes held across churches or locations within the Sydney Diocese, under the umbrella of Anglicare ESL (English as a Second Language). The team involved with teaching EFL at FAC generally organise an annual regional excursion to a place of interest and join together with other EFL groups in the region at the end of the year, for a regional Christmas Party.
