The Shed

The Shed is about men meeting around Gods word and encouraging each other in our families, our community, our workplace and our church. We want to build each other up in identity, integrity and influence.

We meet 7.30pm Wednesdays during school terms at FAC. Shed doors open with a coffee and catch-up, the 'Shed Challenge' (either darts, putting etc), followed by the 'Bloke Bit' (a 5 minute interview with a man about his hobby or interest). The second part of the evening is in the context of smaller groups opening the Bible together. Like all FAC lifegroups, we aim to be a place where 'doing life' intersects with Gods word.

The Shed recognises the challenge that,

*     Men need to discuss issues and struggles together 'As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' Prov. 27:17

*     Men need practical how-to's to grow in their faith

*     Men need other men who are cheering for them

*     Men need to belong to something bigger than themselves

Come around for a bit of Shed time as we work on practical Christian living as men at different ages and stages. Contact Geoff Thompson 4272 1322 or geoff.thompson@figtreeanglican.org.au
