Heartsisters

heartsisters is a powerful prayer ministry, which has been running at FAC since 2005; a great opportunity for women of all ages to unite in praying for one another. As heartsisters brings women together from across generations, it facilitates both the growth of new friendships and the strengthening of old ones. Those who have been part of heartsisters in the past, have seen God work powerfully through the prayers of His women, bringing healing and restoration to some, and joy and strength to others.

How does it work?

It’s easy, but it's about commitment. Each year, women aged 15 years or older are invited to fill in a registration form with their prayer points. Your form is given to another woman who has signed up to be a heartsister, to faithfully pray for you over the next 3 months. In turn, you will be given the prayer requests of another woman, so you can pray for her over the same period (no, you won’t be praying for each other).

At the end of the 3 months, a heartsisters breakfast is held; a special breakfast to share and celebrate how God has been working in the lives of women across the church.

Prayer is a great gift God has given us as He calls us to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer”.  Being faithful women of God in prayer through heartsisters opens up a wonderful opportunity to be used by God to encourage and support another woman; an invitation that simply involves the sharing of joys, trials or the desires of our heart.

Our latest heartsister's breakfast was held in September, 2010. Please visit our page again, for details about heartsisers 2011.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”           Philippians 4:6-7
