Archbishop Earthquake Appeal
Rev David Mansfield (Director of Anglican Aid) has launched an appeal for those affected by the Christchurch Earthquake that shook the city on 22 February 2011. Throught donations, the Sydney Diocese hopes to financially assist in some way, to address the scale of the devastation that has hit New Zealand.
Anglican Aid is asking you to pray for those affected by this tragedy:
- for comfort of those in mourning
- for those still waiting for news of loved ones
- for all those authorities and emergency workers who are involved in the recovery effort.
Pray that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ might be proclaimed through it all. If you would like to donate to the Archbishop of Sydney’s Anglican Aid Christchurch Earthquake Appeal, please do so through their website. www.anglicanaid.org.au
Anglican Aid is working through our Christian partners on the ground and donations will be used to support those in the affected communities to rebuild their lives. Donations are tax-deductible.
