LOVE IN ACTION
Every day, about 1,000,000 Ugandan children face life without a CHANCE; without a CHOICE. These are orphans in the midst of a nation's battle with aids and a history of civil war ... hungry, thirsty but above all, orphans dying to be loved.
Watoto Child Care Ministries is a ministry of Watoto Church, located in the city of Kampala, Uganda. The ministry provides a sense of family by placing the most vulnerable of these orphans into a home in a village; not just any home or village, but one where chidlren are provided the physical, spiritual, educational and emotional care so that each one will become a responsible Christian and a productive citizen of Uganda; a purpose built village founded on hope.
Hearing the Watoto Children's choir was the impetus that started a partnership with Watoto church; a partnership that has seen FAC send building teams in 2006, 2008 and 2010 to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Watoto Church mission is about sustainable change through Christ for the nation. It's about giving children HOPE -with it comes the freedom to dream; it's about giving them LOVE - with it they will have the courage to act, and it's about giving them KNOWLEDGE - so they have every opportunity to succeed - to be acitive members as they give back into their church, economy and county. It is the heartbeat of Christ that drives the compassionate response of those who respond.

RESTORE TOUR: Child Soldier No More is the story of the tragedy and the triumph of the child soldier and the greater community of northern Uganda, who have endured some of the worst atrocities known to man. At this unique concert, you will meet the people and hear the true stories of many, but at the same time, you will hear one single story - a story of conflict, struggle, forgiveness and restoration.
