On our way to Portugal, we stopped in at LA to visit Stephen and Josephine Sesi, who were studying at Fuller in Pasadena. We stayed in a room next to their church, and spend just over a week looking around LA with them.?

We spent all of 2005 at home in Australia on home assignment. Before that, for Christmas 2003, we made a short trip home, to have our first baby girl, Isabella.

After learning Portuguese (more or less), we arrived in Mozambique in July 2002 and stayed until December 2004. We settled into a small town called Cuamba, in the far northern province of Niassa. In 2006, we returned for another four years of service.

We spent from August 2000 until July 2002 in Portugal, desperately trying to learn Portuguese. The first year was terrible (at least, it was for me) but it gradually improved after that.
